You can apply for different types of fast access experiments throughout the year at FragMAX. We offer three different modes, which are explained in more detail below. If you are planning to apply for fast access, we strongly recommend contacting the FragMAX team in advance so we can guide you toward the most appropriate scheme.
Please note that X-ray diffraction data for all FragMAX proposals are collected in unattended mode by our staff, unless there is a clear rationale for manual data collection by the user.
Scientific Experiment
Fast access proposals are available for full fragment screening campaigns. These proposals are intended for time-sensitive experiments that cannot wait until the next user call.
Sample Feasibility
We also offer fast access to evaluate whether your crystal system is suitable for a fragment screening campaign at FragMAX. Typical scenarios include:
- Assessing whether protein crystallization can be successfully transferred from your home lab to FragMAX.
- Performing a solvent characterization experiment.
- Conducting a small-scale fragment screen to assess ligandability of the target protein.
Standard Measurement Service (SMS)
Finally, we offer Standard Measurement Service (SMS) experiments. These experiments are based on an existing FragMAX proposal and are designed for cases where:
- Additional fragments need to be screened.
- Users want to screen follow-up compounds identified from an initial screening campaign.
