The STXM branch is open for Fast Access. This entails short measurements of an exploratory nature, i.e. one or two ready-made samples that have one or two absorption edges to investigate. The purpose is to eg. check sample preparation methods, or provide images/spectra that can be used in a subsequent full proposal, or as a quick complement to data from other methods for a publication. A maximum of 6 shifts (24hr) can be given out. Measurements may be done as ‘mail in’ and performed by the beamline staff.
