Starting in the Spring 2025 run, Bloch is participating in the MAX-IV Fast Access program. proposals, with 3 separate 24-hour openings at fixed dates during the run.
These beamtimes are intended to either demonstrate technical feasibility to support a full beamtime proposal, or to collect a small subset of missing data. Proposals that suggest an unrealistic measurement plan (especially considering the fixed 24-hour time period) will not be accepted.
One of the reasons Bloch is joining this program is to help new and inexperienced user groups to write competitive standard-access proposals. If you are unsure about whether to apply or what to write in the fast-access proposal, email one of the beamline team who will be happy to help.
